Lauren Farrell is 18 and hails from Dublin. A member of the Lee-Byrne Academy of Irish Dance, she has consistently placed highly in the An Comhdail World Championships and All Ireland Championships, and has frequently secured podium places in the Leinster & Dublin championships, as well as winning several Open Championships at Feiseanna around Ireland & abroad.
Lauren is a former member of Helen Jordan Stage School and has taken part in shows in the Olympia Theatre where she had leading roles. Lauren has performed with her dance school at Corporate Events in Ireland, Europe & USA. She recently performed in the Disneyland Paris theme park in the Videopolis Theatre, where she was dance captain for her troupe. She has previously performed in Downtown Disney in Orlando in 2010 where she had a solo part for 3 routines. Lauren danced for many years with M&R events – performing in such events as Temple Bar Tradfest & various traditional festivals around Dublin & she was an original member of the Dance Troupe DAMHSA Juniors – where they auditioned for & performed on The Late Late Toy show in 2012.
In 2016 Lauren was selected to attend studio2stage (s2s) in Kean University, New Jersey – this is an intense camp of training & choreography for 10 days culminating in 2 performances at a packed Wilkins theatre in Newark. Here she leaned so much about the life of a touring dancer & this inspired her to progress further with her ambition to be a professional Irish Dancing performer. In 2019 Lauren travelled to New York again as a crew member with studio2stage working with renowned choreographers, dancers and musicians performing in Wilkins Theatre. She was honoured to be Dance Captain for the Broadway troupe. Lauren is also a member of the studio2stage dance company performing for both dignitaries & corporate guests.
