Sarah began Irish dancing at the age of 3 under the tuition of Margaret Dunleavy, CLRG in County Mayo. Upon Margaret’s retirement, Sarah began dancing for Sylvan Kelly, from the age of 13 years. She danced competitively for numerous years, where she was successful at Regional, All Ireland and World level.
Sarah graduated in August 2011, with a B.A. in Irish Music and Dance in the University of Limerick. It was here she developed a passion for dance performance. During her four-year degree, Sarah gained onstage experience with The Chieftains, The Irish Harp Orchestra and Corporate events, alongside Micheál Ó Súilleabháin; President of the Irish World Academy. Sarah also participated in numerous workshops with professional dancers, developing her dance repertoire, in a variety of dance styles.
Sarah began touring with Celtic Legends in 2012, before joining the cast of Michael Flatley’s ‘Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games’ World tour in 2015. Since returning home to pursue her career in Primary Education, Sarah performed in Croke Park, as part of ‘Laochra – Thee GAA Commemorates 1916’ in April 2016. Sarah currently teaches, alongside her sisters, with the ‘Sloyan School of Dancing’ in County Mayo.
